THE STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

1. Moisturize your skin - To create a nice base for your makeup, your skin must be smooth and moisturized.

2. Apply primer - You can use one of the great and highly recommended primers from Smashbox, Urban Decay, or Armani. But I recommend using a nice sunscreen during the day time as a primer like Bioderma or Clarins.

3. Apply foundation - The simplest way to get foundation is to go into the store of your choice - either drug store, department store, Sephora, or Mac, and ask one of the salespeople to help you match afoundation to your skin color. You can take a second or third opinion from other salespeople in that store and in other stores to make sure the foundation suits you and doesn't make you look pale, ashy, oily, or too matte. Next, use your fingers to apply the foundation, bit by bit on your face. Be sure not to over apply.

4. Use a concealer - Now that you have applied foundation lightly, use concealer to spot cover those hard to cover areas like acne, pimples, or hyperpigmentation.

5. Use a powder - Although I don't recommend using a powder since it predisposes the skin to wrinkles, it's a personal preference. Using a fluffy brush, sweep powder on top of your freshly foundation-ed face.

6. Do your eyes - You can use your fingers or a smaller brush to sweep eyeshadow across your eyelids. To apply eye liner, I recommend using a liquid liner, and with a steady hand, sweep the applicator across your lid close to the lash line. You can also use a pencil eye liner to rim your lids from the inside. For a smoldering look, use black on the inner rims, or you can use white for a wide-eyed effect. The finishing touch for eye-makeup is mascara. Simply swipe the wand from lashline outward. You can even apply mascara on your lower eyelashes.

7. Do your cheeks - Using a mid sized brush, apply blush on the apples of your cheeks, sweeping outward toward your hairline.

8. Apply lip color - Make sure to clean the outer edges of your lips to prevent feathering. And don't forget to check if you got lipstick on your teeth!

9. Finishing touches - There are many additional steps that professionals use when applying makeup. You can use highlight (a cream or powder color a shade lighter than your skin tone) along your brow bone just below your eyebrows, along the center of your nose, and above the apples of your cheeks. Use a lowlight (a darker cream or powder color) on the sides of your nose, below the apples of your cheeks, and on your temples. Use a bronzer on the outer edges of your face applying it as the number 3: temple, cheeks, and chin. Doing your eyebrows can make a drastic difference in your appearance.

Take either a brow pencil or use a thin brush with brown powder and color in your brows starting from the arch and going outwards, then going back to the beginning of your brows.

As with everything, practice makes perfect. It may take a while to understand your face and what looks best on you, so keep trying and have fun!

Acne is called as "Yuvan Pidika" in Ayurveda, which means boils affecting the youth. Disturbed "kapha", "pitta" and "rakta" (blood) together produce boils, mostly on the face. As the Ayurvedic name suggests, these are present mostly in the age group of 15 - 25 years, and in some, may extend till 35 years of age. Some physicians believe that disturbed " meda" is also involved in the production of acne.

For the sake of treatment, acne is considered to be of recent onset, chronic, and resulting from or coinciding with menstruation in females. Acne is believed to have a very close relation to the stomach, and therefore, it is believed that excessive salty, sour, sweet, oily and non-vegetarian food-stuffs aggravate, or cause acne. Stress, chronic constipation, menstruation, and obesity, all are believed to contribute to acne.

The main principles of treatment in acne are: treatment of "rakta" (blood) impurities (this includes control of infection), reduction in stress, and proper regulation of bowel movement. As mentioned above, avoiding food products which aggravate acne is also very important. Use of irritating cosmetics is best avoided.
For red boils, with burning sensation, Praval, Kamdudha, and Chandanadi vati are useful. Those with excessive "heat" in their bodies should take, in addition, Triphala and Saariva (Hemidesmus indicus) at bed time. Those women with scanty or irregular menses should take compounds containing Kumari (Aloe vera). Obese patients with acne benefit from medicines like Triphala Guggulu and Gokshuradi Guggulu.

Local applications containing Shalmali (Bombax malabaricum), Lodhra (Symplocos racemosa), Kushtha (Saussurea lappa), Manjishtha (Rubia cordifolia), Turmeric (Curcuma longa), Vacha (Acorus calamus), Chandan (Santalum album), Dashanglep and Saariva (Hemidesmus indicus) are beneficial in acne. Local application of Khas-Khas and Jayphal (Myristica fragrans) is believed to give very good results. For dry skin, application of Shatadhout Ghrut is beneficial.

Ayurvedic combination medicines like Arogya-vardhini, Gandhak Rasayan, Sukshma Triphala, and Chandraprabha are good for internal use. Shankh Bhasma can be applied locally and taken orally too.
Those who have very severe or cystic type of acne benefit from blood letting by leech, or induced vomiting (Vaman) or induced purgation (Virechan), however, these procedures are best done by qualified personnel in well-equipped clinics. Patient selection for these procedures is important.

Adequate sleep, a sensible diet, and breathing techniques like "Pranayam" are beneficial.

Read through How Long Does It Take Pimples To Form? extra

What causes pimples and how long does it take for them to form are good questions. The answers are a bit confusing as till date science has not been able to pinpoint at the clear reasons for the formation of acne. Still, the conclusion that has been reached in this regard is that the oil glands in the skin that secrete oil cause these pustules. These glands become larger at the time of puberty making it obvious why teenagers struggle against acne the most.

Are you also troubled by pimples or have just got a teenie-weenie one yourself. A single zit or many zits are all acne. Either way, whether young or old- who in the whole wide world would ever want a pimple? It is an embarrassment and makes your self-esteem take a nose dive. You might have already asked around to know how long it takes pimples to form. If you have, it is good, for the more information you have at hand about acne, the better prepared you would be to effectively treat them and prevent new ones from forming.

Their Root Cause

Pimples start out in the hair follicles more than 2 weeks before you can even see them. So once you know you are getting one or more, you should immediately start off a preventive treatment regime.

To understand how long it takes these annoying blemishes to form, you have to first understand how pimples relate to hair follicles. Hair follicles contain oil glands that contain a substance called as sebum. This sebum after being formed in the hair follicle slowly travels its way upwards towards the surface of the skin. Hormones that are released in the body all along play a vital role in deciding how much sebum will be produced by your sebaceous glands.

The hormone Androgen and Progesterone trigger excessive production of sebum in both men and women and those who have high levels of these hormones have acne prone skin. Sebum en-route to its way to the skin surface picks up dirt and debris as it gets nearer to the surface. Then it goes and blocks the skin pores, clogging the hair follicles. Bacteria attack the skin when it is clogged by sebum or perspiration. This bacteria scientifically known as P. acnes live on your skin and turns into a malicious harmful agent of acne, thriving and growing in the clogged hair follicles.

All this takes anything from 2-4 weeks, ample time for you to take action rather than grieve over your wrecked skin condition.

Types And Causes

Acne comes in various forms and the most common ones are blackheads and whiteheads. These are harmless non-inflammatory acne but make the face quite unsightly.

Now if bacterium infects a whitehead, a papule or pustule- a pimple forms. Such acne is inflammatory by nature and can be from mild to severe in nature.
In very severe cases of acne, cysts and nodules develop, rupture and spread infection thereby causing permanent scars.

Everyone secretes oil from their glands but unfortunately some secrete it more than others. Genetics plays havoc here and so does pregnancy and other hormonal fluctuations in the body. All cause acne. Other modern day factors like stress, pollution and changing diet are also causes of pimples. The dead cells on the skin that seem harmless enough can also clog the hair follicles and because a cause for distress- pimples.

Basically, there is no single reason for acne and no fixed time for acne to form. Pimples are formed by a number of reasons and the time that they take to form also varies from person to person. You can fight the problem of acne right at its initial stage with proper care.

Understand How To Get Rid Of Pimples On Your Back, For That Smooth Look extra

No sooner have you solved the problem of acne on your face another problem raises its ugly head, how to get rid of pimples on your back? The back is made up of innumerable sebaceous glands producing excessive oil. Furthermore, the back usually remains covered, less accessible and receives most physical pressure. Hence there are more chances of its pores getting clogged with dirt and sweat and further cleaning is also not done easily. Moreover, acne on the back is usually very acute with cysts and nodules. These problems tend to make treating back acne also known as athletic acne very hard though not impossible.

Solutions to the problem

Back acne is also caused due to hormonal changes as well as any strenuous physical activity. The first problem can be solved to an extent by avoiding fast food, having a balanced diet, drinking lots of water and exercising. These help to get rid of toxins and extra hormones thereby balancing the whole body process. Moreover, exercising increases blood circulation and the skin absorbs more oxygen giving it a healthy glow.

The second problem, that is strenuous exercise, is often unavoidable especially for athletes, hence one could follow a few guidelines that could contain the problem. Exercise or a round at the gym causes one to sweat profusely, this sweat can cause the acne, and to avoid this it is best that the person uses non-clinging, light clothing. Again materials like lycra and wool should be avoided as they trap the sweat and also irritates the skin aggravating the problem.

After the exercise it is a must for an individual to have a bath to remove the sweat. Using soap and a scrub to wash off that dirt and grime would be very helpful. You could also treat the acne on your back by using a cleanser containing salicyclic acid and apply medicines containing benzoyl peroxide.

Other things that would do you good are:

1. Before getting dressed make sure your back is completely dry

2. Apply sunscreen before exposing your back

3. Try using clay masks to remove dirt from deep inside

4. Inflammatory acne can be treated by antibiotics, topical retinoids and also by injecting cortisone

5. Try to avoid hot and clammy surroundings and also stay away from cooking as well, as the grease from the cooking can aggravate blackheads and clogged pores leading to further acne.

Following these tips regularly should effectively counter your back acne problem however if it still persists, visiting your dermatologist is the best option.

Pimples Inside Nose

Skin infections are commonly found in many people and a majority of these infections heals without the need for medical intervention. They are caused by bacteria in most of the cases. The common bacterial skin infections are caused by staphylococcus and streptococcus bacteria. Sometimes, fungus also causes skin infections. Fungus infections are highly contagious and if a normal person touches the infected person, he may also catch the infection.

Athlete's foot, ringworm and jock itch are very common infections that cause sores. Sometimes, these sores may contain pus causing swelling and pain in the affected area. Contaminations such as damp and moist in the public areas are the major reasons causing skin infections.

Due to continuous exposure to sun and pollution, skin is the most affected organ in the body. Many infections are contagious and the affected person carries germs with him. The most common of them is boils. Red lumps on the skin are formed because of bacteria and sometimes, these lumps may be painful. Areas such as neck, armpits and nose are more susceptible to boils.

People who have other problems such as diabetes are more prone to them due to poor immune system. If you have boils or blisters, clean the infected area with antibacterial soap frequently. Sometimes, skin infections may be the symptoms of other diseases. For some people, allergies also cause infections on the skin.

Skin infections are also caused on hair. Several of these bacteria causing infections affect hair follicles resulting in hair loss. Tinea versicolor is a common infection that is found in young adults. This is commonly called as dandruff problem. The infection may intensify and brown patches may be found on layers of skin. This is generally treated with antidandruff shampoo.

Ringworm is another type that is caused by fungus. This may appear on any part of the body. Appropriate ointment must be applied for this infection to stop the infection from spreading.

Too much of sweating may also cause skin infections. You should not wear clothes that make you sweat more because infections spread faster in damp conditions. Folliculitis causes infection in hair follicles. Tight clothing and friction may also lead to folliculitis which looks like pus filled pimples. Furuncle is a serious type of folliculitis that appears as red nodes in areas that sweat more.

Carbuncle is much more serious than furuncle and it is generally accompanied by fever. This affects fat layer under the skin forming multiple layers of pus. This problem has to be treated medically inorder to remove pus and cure the infection.

Several home remedies are generally followed for skin infections. People visit doctors only when symptoms intensify and swellings cause pain. When you have caught skin infections in the form of boils or blisters, you should not scratch it.

When the swelling contains pus like fluid inside, you should be more careful because they spread more easily. Patients should maintain proper personal hygiene. Generally, skin infections can be avoided with good personal care.

Pimples.

We've all had some at one time or another. They are an unfortunate but common experience that is just part of being a human living in the 21st century. There are as many known causes of pimples as there are people who suffer from them -- the best way to find your trigger is with simple lifestyle experimentation. Modify your life habits in small, incremental steps until you find the things that have a direct effect on your breakouts. Medication and commercial acne-remedies can be life-saving in an emergency, but it's a good idea to focus your treatment on the underlying causes of your pimples instead of the symptom itself as your skin will often adapt to whichever remedy you habitually use leading to dependence (meaning even worse breakouts if you stop using it.).

Following are some simple and effective lifestyle changes that can help your get rid of pimples:

1. Switch from oil-based makeup to water-based makeup. In case you didn't guess, the oil in many makeup products can clog your pores and lead to pimples.

2. Wash all of your makeup off every night before retiring. During sleep your skin excretes oil, if you're still wearing your makeup this can mean pimple-causing clogged pores.

3. Switch your product choices. Experiment with different kinds of soaps, shampoos, lotions, sunscreens -- anything you use on pimple-prone areas.

4. Stop washing your face so much! Once or twice a day should be enough; any more and your skin will start producing extra oil to replace what is lost with every washing. This means that if you stop washing your face as much you will become over-oily.

5. Eliminate anything that stays in contact with your skin. Another common cause of breakouts is tight clothing. The brim of a hat or waist band can halt your skin's natural cleansing processes and lead to more pimples.

6. Experiment with your exposure to the sun. Some people find that a little more sun helps clear up their skin tremendously -- others find it makes acne worse. Experiment both with your level of exposure and with the use of different sunscreens.

7. Diet modification. There's a ton of controversy over the idea that certain foods can cause a pimply breakout. Doctor's tell us the studies show that diet is unrelated, but many people vehemently oppose this idea based on personal experience. Don't listen to either of them. Experiment with your food choices and make the decision for yourself.

Read Vaginal Pimples, Genital Herpes Or VD Which Is It? How To Treat Genital Pimples Without A Doctor much more

Can vaginal pimples and genital herpes be treated at home without having to see a doctor? Yes, and sort of half yes to the genital herpes question. Herpes can be treated at home as long as the medication comes prescribed by a doctor. Vaginal boils and pimples are acne types, and like any other acne such as facial spots and blackheads you will tend to them the same whilst keeping to the golden rule that you don't squeeze or pop them.

Treating pimples on the vagina is much similar to how you treat face pimples, but if complications occur like infection setting in, treatment may change. Badly infected acne will need antibiotics to clear any infection.

When someone asks a question that includes 2 concerns, such like, is it vaginal pimples or genital herpes, it means a woman has spotted or felt something on her vagina but isn't sure what it is, or how to treat it. This is why it is important that anything strange found in the genital area is clarified by a GP. A doctor can tell you what you're dealing with and prescribe proper medicine. It is not safe to act on speculation if it involves medication because even the best of treatments are never effective on conditions they were not created for. It is like taking aspirin to cure VD. Talking of venereal disease, is it something you suspect and you're reason for not wanting to see a doctor. If those assumed genital pimples turn out to be genital warts, I am afraid antiseptic cream alone won't get rid of them. Be safe and seek medical advice.

Genital herpes is a viral infection caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV) and is passed on through close contact with the mucous-covered linings inside the mouth, vagina and skin of the genitals. The STD virus penetrates the linings or skin through microscopic tears. On entry it heads for the nerve roots close to the spinal cord and settles there for life. Once exposed there is an incubation period that lasts three days but can last up to a week before a lesion appears. At this time there are no symptoms and the virus cannot be passed on. An outbreak normally starts within 14 days of initial infection. Anticipated symptoms include itching or a tingling sensation, redness, followed by a blister. Small fluid-filled blisters usually found on the vulva and vaginal entrance are called vesicles. If the vesicles rupture, painful ulcers can happen. Pain during urination, infection, or inflammation of the urethra are other possible symptoms.

There is no known cure for herpes but not to panic because treatments these days do effectively control genital herpes symptoms. Oral medicines include, Acyclovir (Zovirax), Valacyclovir (Valtrex), Famciclovir(Famvir).

Pain relief remedies

Take a warm bath. Carefully pat the area dry. If skin is sore to touch don't force yourself to dab it, instead use a hair dryer, not on full blast but on a setting you are comfortable with.

Wear loose cotton garments to prevent chafing

Keep skin dry using cornstarch

Ease discomfort using a cool compress or ice pack

Pain and fever can be treated with Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Acetaminophen,Tylenol or Advil-Motrin.

Vaginal Pimples

Pimples are normally the outcome of an infected sebaceous gland or ingrown hair. They are a regular problem for teenagers especially around the time of puberty but anyone can suffer them.

If you are certain it is not herpes and it is genital pimples, a doctor need not be involved, that is, if something like depression is not present. Some people with bad acne are known to get depressed, hitting an all time low which force them to shy away from the problem and the public. It is at this point when a doctor needs to intervene.

Although it is easy to care for pimples on the vagina it can be awkward getting to them. A mirror is a handy object to help find vaginal lumps and bumps but there is no guarantee it will reflect them if concealed behind pubic hair, so now you rely on the fingers to do the search.

It takes nothing more than soap and warm water to rid a pimple. Of course if there's more to it like a cluster of open pimples draining pus, antiseptic cream is then required to prevent infection.

The most effective approach for bettering your health is to let a doctor in on it.

Pimples Inside Nose

Very few of us are fortunate enough to completely avoid a skin flare-up or two, and many people spend years trying to get rid of stubborn acne. What you may not realize is that there are three distinctive types of acne; they all have different characteristics, and they all require different treatment in order to successfully clear up your skin. Here we discuss the cause of acne, the three classes of blemishes, and the most appropriate treatments for each.

The Cause of Acne

The pores in your skin contain oil glands which produce a substance called sebum; this oil is necessary for keeping your skin lubricated and preventing it from drying out. However, when the oil glands work overtime, they can block the pores, trapping dead skin cells inside and attracting bacteria which cause inflammation.

Oil overproduction is common during times when your hormone levels are fluctuating, particularly during the teenage years, and for women, during menstruation.

Types of Acne

Blackheads and Whiteheads: These are the mildest acne blemishes, affecting only the outer surface of the skin. Blackheads appear as tiny dark spots on the nose, chin, and cheeks; whiteheads can show up anywhere on the face and are characterized by their whitish appearance.
To care for blackheads and whiteheads, wash your face twice daily with a mild, all-natural cleanser. A natural exfoliating scrub can help to remove the blemishes; avoid scrubbing too hard, or you may irritate the skin and make the acne problem worse.

Pimples: Pimples can occur singly or in clusters; they appear as reddened, raised bumps that are filled with a pus-like fluid. Do not squeeze or pop your pimples, because doing so can damage your follicles and cause scarring.
To treat pimples and reduce their frequency, clean your face twice daily and apply an over-the-counter acne cream such as benzoyl peroxide.

Cystic Acne: These blemishes reach far down into the underlying layers of skin cells and can be quite painful to the touch. They appear as large, raised bumps above the surface of the skin and can be extremely difficult to treat on your own.
For cystic acne that does not respond to treatment with over-the-counter medications, the care of a dermatologist may be required.

How To Get Rid Of Pimples Quickly

Pimples

Pimples are an annoying part of life that usually start appearing in your preteens and teenage years. However, adult acne is also a problem. Pimples are usually a problem because they appear right on your face - the place people usually look first when meeting you. However, they can also show up on your back, arms and other areas of your body.

Pimples can cause problems when you are going to a school function, a job interview or other type of event in your life when you want to look your best. Sometimes, simply covering it up with makeup just won't do the trick and usually makes it worse by contributing to the bacteria in the pimple. You want that pimple to go away and disappear quickly. There are several techniques you can try to get rid of pimples quickly.

1) Types of remedies for pimples - There are two different types of remedies for pimples: natural and chemical treatments. A natural remedy might be the best way to start. Do not ever squeeze a pimple as it will only help the bacteria spread on your skin and you will find yourself will even more pimples later! You can try an ice treatment. Hold an ice pack or some ice cubes in a towel on the pimple for a couple minutes every half an hour.

You can also try a little bit of toothpaste. Really, dab it onto the pimple and gently rub it in. This can actually help reduce the pimple by drying it out. You can create a cleanser with baking soda and water. Use it to gently clean your skin and affected area(s). Aloe Vera can also help you get rid of that pimple. Try dabbing some on the pimple itself and let it sit.
Of course, if you don't want to raid your kitchen, looking for natural remedies, you can try a chemical remedy.

There are plenty of over-the-counter medications to help get rid of acne. When you get to the store, look at the ingredients in the product. It should say what the active ingredient is and what its function is. Its function should be to get rid of pimples quickly.

3) How to tackle adult acne - Adult acne can be troublesome because we think we are supposed to outgrow acne problems after we have gone through our teenage years. This is far from the truth. Many adults suffer from acne problems.

The first thing you probably want to do is see your medical health specialist and see if you have a skin problem such as exema or rosacea. These can be treated medically and should be weaned out before trying other solutions from your local store. Once you have that out of the way and are sure you don't have a medical skin problem, you need to look for other solutions. A good home remedy for your skin is a good place to start. Drink six to eight glasses of water a day.

This alone can help clear up your skin. Don't squeeze any pimples because this can lead to more pimples and even scarring. Every morning and night, you should be cleaning your skin with a gentle cleanser. Something fancy and expensive isn't always necessary. Find cleansers that don't have added fragrances or perfumes. The most natural would be best. You might also want to try a toner if your skin is oily. Drinking water and cleaning properly can help prevent future breakouts.

4) Permanent acne removal - Sometimes, none of this will seem to work. Permanent acne removal might be the only solution. You will want to set up an appointment with your local dermatologist to decide what will be best for you. Some can provide laser treatments, which are fast, affordable and convenient. Talk it over with your dermatologist to see what cleansing routine you should be on as well. He or she can take a look at your skin and give you some really helpful advice.

Understand Home Remedies to Treat Acne additional

Who among us has not looked in the mirror and seen the blemish we were sure would ruin our day, if not our life? Three out of four teenagers have some acne, and some adults continue to have acne into their twenties, thirties and forties.

When hair follicles in the skin become plugged with a combination of sebum or fat and cellular material, a pimple results. In teenagers, acne is linked to hormonal activity and often occurs on the face, back, chest and upper arms. Adult acne shows up mainly on the face. An especially problematic form of adult acne, called rosacea, affects the skin of the nose, forehead, and cheeks. Acne rosacea usually responds well to medical treatment.

The good news is: acne eventually goes away. The bad news is: it doesn't go away overnight. A regular skin care regimen, perhaps combined with prescription medicine recommended by a health care provider, can help avoid outbreaks and potential; scarring.

A primary care doctor or other provider may recommend a topical medicine, oral antibiotics, or both. Lotions, creams, or gels containing vitamin A acid, tretinoin - commonly called Retin-A, help stop pimples from forming by preventing dead skin cells fro sticking to the wall of the hair follicle. Antibiotics work by keeping bacteria from forming and reducing inflammation. Severe cases of acne can be treated with a pill containing vitamin A called isotretinoin or Accutane. Accutane does have side effects, however, and cannot be taken by pregnant women.

The aftereffect of acne - scarring - also can be treated by a doctor, although it is quite costly. Collagen may be injected into scars to "fill them up". This treatment is expensive and temporary, lasting only 4 to 6 months. Surgery involving skin grafts is an option for deeper scars.

Although acne is not life threatening, it effects on self-esteem and self-confidence should not be downplayed. Now before you should know the most common all-important home care for acne, you should also know how acne develops.

Whiteheads form when pores become clogged with oily secretions and hair follicles break down. Blackheads form when the clogged pore is invaded by bacteria and pus. Blackheads should not be squeezed because this can cause further spreading of the bacteria. Acne or pimples form when the hair follicle walls rupture. Acne can then spread. Squeezing the pimple can cause the infection to spread further. Now here are the most common and effective home remedies to treat acne:

1. Wash your face once or twice daily with the cleanser of your choice. 2. Use an "acne" cream or lotion. Start with over-the-counter lotions that contain benzoyl peroxide, sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid as the main ingredient.3. Use a moisturizer labeled noncomedogenic. This has been tested and found not to cause pimples.4. Don't open your pimples unless your health care provider has given you instructions on how to do it correctly.

Sure, it's their job to look good and they have plenty of help achieving their beauty goals but that doesn't mean the rest of us can't look as good as our favorite celebrities.

One tip celebrities learn early on is that beauty is achieved from the inside out and prevention is key. Going under the knife these days draws as much scrutiny as a bad beach photo showing dimpled thighs and belly fat. Celebrities are simply supposed to look fabulous but without showing the obvious signs of how they achieved the results. But we all know that nothing happens by magic.

We've asked celebrity makeup artists, skincare specialists, nutritionists, doctors and other professionals that work with today's hottest celebrities to share some of the secrets to treating common skin complaints and achieving younger looking, radiant skin at any age.

Protect Skin from the Environment

Stars like Kate Hudson know that protecting their skin from harsh UV rays and environmental irritants helps to preserve the skin's precious collagen reserves. Kate is a fan of Juice Beauty Green Apple Antioxidant Serum.

Actress Cate Blanchett turns to N.V. Perricone Olive Oil Polyphenols Nutrient Face Fortifier (Whew! What a name!) to keep her skin protected with antioxidant packed polyphenols, which also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Super Hydration

It's all about the dewy complexion in Hollywood. So if you're skin is as dry as sandpaper, you'd better get to hydrating (dry skin is more prone to fine lines, making you look older). Debra Messing always seems to pull off the quenched look. Try a dollop of Kate Somerville Quench Hydrating Serum to lock in moisture (plus the Vitamin A fights the signs of aging).

Ivanka Trump gets her Springtime glow from SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Masque. Sure, she's already young but infusing her skin with youth-boosting hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5 can keep her looking as young as she feels. Model-turned-actress Molly Sims moisturizes with Dr. Brandt contour effect moisturizing cream, which plumps up the skin by drenching it with moisture-and moisture is our friend.

Dark Circles

Katherine Heigl relies on Hylexin to stop undereye circles and puffiness in their tracks. The ingredients in Hylexin reinforce capillaries that deposit blood in the undereye area creating those persistent dark circles. So say goodbye to raccoon eyes and hello sexy!

Ashunta Sheriff, exclusive makeup artist to Alicia Keys, offers this advice for making tired eyes look brighter and more rested, "Concealer will definitely take away the appearance of dark circles. Also, even though this skincare line is targeted for men, I've used Morning After Rescue Remedy Gel by Nickel. With caffeine, cucumber and other vital ingredients for under eye skin, it perks eyes up quickly and makes them look refreshed."

Adult Acne

Yes, even supermodels get pimples. Earlier this year supermodel Gisele Bundchen was asked what beauty tricks she's picked up over the years and responded by saying, "I had a really horrible pimple on my nose, and a makeup artist gave me Nelsons Acne Gel. I kept putting it on, and my pimple went away. I was like, this is great. It doesn't burn your skin."

Statistics suggest that roughly 85% of the American population have a problem with acne. The Nelsons homeopathic acne gel actually works and contains no artificial colors, artificial fragrances, or animal products and it is not tested on animals. It's made from natural ingredients like extracts of organically grown hypericum perforatum, calendula, and arnica.

Now that you are armed with all of this beauty advice, your favorite celebrity will have some new competition!

It is important to handle stress effectively because it is inevitable. In order to manage stress, you may opt to try some relaxation techniques like breathing exercises. Another good example to unwind and relax is sleep. If you are unable to sleep at night, try to minimize napping in the afternoon. Remember that our skin repairs itself at night while we sleep. For this particular reason, it is imperative that we sleep at least eight hours at night.

Tips to Avoid Chin Acne

1. Wash your face daily with anti bacterial soap and facial wash.
2. Avoid touching your chin or any areas affected by acne.
3. Exfoliate at least twice weekly.
4. Remember to use water based cosmetics and not oil based make up.
5. Do not sleep with your make up on.
6. Change your pillowcases and comforters frequently.

8. Use moisturizer on your face especially if you are going out. Make sure that it contains SPF, to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun.
9. Eat vitamin A rich foods.
10. Do not over medicate and consult your dermatologist.

Examine How to Get Rid of Pimples Overnight much more

How to get rid of your pimples overnight is in fact impossible, but within a very short time - a few days in fact - you can see a marked improvement in your skin after following some very simple guidelines.

You need to understand the cause of pimples before you can learn how to deal with them, so take a few minutes to read this.

The body's sebaceous glands produce oil (sebum); for a young person approaching and during puberty, the production of sebum can vary wildly due to the hormonal changes occurring in the body at this time. Very simply, the pores on the skin (most often those on the face and are in fact hair follicles) become blocked up with sebum. Bacteria becomes trapped in the pore and feeds on the sebum creating an infection which shows as a red swollen lump.

So to help the body through this period, and hence reduce the occurrence of pimples, here are a few simple guidelines. They will not answer your question of how to get rid of pimples overnight but follow these and within days you will find a marked improvement in your skin condition.

1. Gently wash your face. Use a mild skin cleanser that will wash away the oils on your face and after that rinse your face with water.

2. Now you should exfoliate your face - that is, remove the dead skin cells that the body as discarded so they do not block up the skin pores. You can purchase an exfoliate (facial scrub) product or you can make one up yourself : pour a little salt into a small bowl, add a few drops of water and mix till it turns into a paste (not liquid!); adding a little toothpaste (paste, not gel) to this mix gives it a little extra kick, as does baking soda. You can also add some oatmeal. Use this mixture to exfoliate - gently massaging it all over the face including the areas not affected by pimples. Do this process gently - there is no need to rub. Then after a few minutes rinse your face with water. Pat (not rub) your face dry.

3. Next, using white vinegar or apple cider vinegar or hydrogen peroxide, dab this onto the affected area and this will help to dry out the skin further.

Repeat the above 2 times every day, morning and evening, and within just a few days you will see a marked improvement in your skin condition.

Never touch your face with your hands as the hands carry bacteria; use a tissue if you need to itch!

Be careful when using cosmetics - use ones that are oil-free, since oily skin is believed to be one of the factors that contributes to pimples.

Take vitamins for your skin if your diet is not full of fruit and leafy vegetables. Vitamin E is the best one for a good skin.

Start a new healthy lifestyle by having a balanced diet. Eat healthy fresh foods. Don't forget to drink a lot of water and this will help detoxify the body. Get lots of fresh air and some exercise.

The above guidelines will ensure you have a clean, healthy skin in no time. Be patient and success will be yours in your quest to get rid of pimples overnight

Understand Pimples on Chin Area - Effective and Simple Methods to Cure Pimples much more

Pimples

Teenagers are usually more vulnerable to pimples outbreak. However, there are also adults who suffer from pimples. Pimples can appear at any point in our life and they do not only appear at our facial area. It can also appear at other areas like the back, neck and chin area. If you have pimples on chin area, I have some tips, which you can use to get rid of it.

The first thing you need to do is to stop touching your pimples with your hands. My pimples on chin area reduced drastically after I stop my bad habit of touching it. Our hands have a huge amount of bacteria and dirt. When you touch your chin area frequently with dirty hands, you spread the dirt and bacteria around. This will increase your chances of having an outbreak.

Some people who are required to wear a mask or helmet that has contact with their chin area can also increase their chances of having an outbreak. I recommend that you avoid wearing things that have contact with your chin area. If it is required of you to wear a mask, change it frequently to avoid trapping perspiration and dirt to your skin around the chin area. This can help to reduce the possibility of having your pores clogged.

You diet also plays a part in pimples outbreak. When you have too many animal fats and trans fat in your diet, you cause your body to produce more pro inflammation hormones. We need adequate amount of pro inflammatory hormones to protect our body from infections and help with wounds healing. However, too much of it can cause our body to suffer from inflammation too easily. Pimples is a form of inflammation and when your body have too many of these hormones, you can suffer from a break out easily.

The way to counter this is to eat more foods that can help your body to produce more anti-inflammatory hormones. Some examples are apples, oranges, avocados, green beans, spinach, leeks and tomatoes. These foods are all natural foods that can help to provide essential nutrients to your body and produce more anti-inflammatory hormones.

It is also important to drink enough water to flush out the toxins in our body. When there are too much toxins in our body due to a bad diet, it can clog up our elimination organs such as the kidneys and liver. When these organs clogged, our health suffers and it can cause us to become vulnerable to pimples breakout.

I had also suffered from pimples on chin area before and I know it can be frustrating and painful. Use these tips to help you reduce the amount of pimples you have. I also recommend that you to learn about the complete holistic acne treatments which I had used to help me cure my pimples once and for all.

Pimples

Pimples have become a normal occurrence nowadays, frequently bothering teens and adolescents and also affecting older people, particularly women. Pimples start pushing through the skin at about the age of puberty. For many, twenty is the age when they finally regress. But for the rest, they continue to bother deep into the twenties.

Pimples go through the normal cycle of growth and regression best when they are left on their own. Once a pimple has surfaced, it is best to ignore it and live with it for the next few days. They leave behind permanent scars and can lead to more skin reactions if they are itched or scratched. That's because pimple development is a normal mechanism of our skin to prevent the spread of infection. The collected pus and the inflammatory products in the pimple fight antigens and infectious agents stuck in the minute skin pockets called pores.

Pimples form when the pores on the skin surface get blocked due to excess sebum and skin debris. The tiny pores that accompany hair as they emerge from the skin get clogged; as a result, the contents of the pores start to accumulate. Furthermore, bacterial action converts some of the contents into those that cause skin irritation and reaction, leading to redness and swelling. Finally, the defense cells of the blood known as white blood cells come into action, walling off the area of the skin and scavenging the bacterial products. This produces pus that gradually builds up. Once the job has been done, the walling off procedure is reversed, and the pimple regresses.

Once ticked, pimples continue their normal course of progress, which fortunately ends in total regression. So once it has started to develop, better leave it to its logical end. However, there are many things that you can do to prevent the course of development to get ticked in the first place. Keeping your skin oil free is definitely the foremost of those. Oil is the principal reason of clogging because it acts as an adhesive for the many inflammatory products to stick to. Simply by keeping your skin oil free, you can maintain a cleaner and more hygienic skin surface.

Cleansing products are good at reducing the chances of any pimples developing on your skin. Other skincare products that clog your pores deserve total avoidance. The term noncomedogenic refers to those products that can be completely washed off without clogging your skin. So whenever you shop for skincare products, keep that label in mind, and also that you have to cleanse your face as soon as you get back to your bathroom.

Even better, use some vitamin b5 acne treatments that would take care of the extra sebum produced. For further info, you can read through our acne skincare guide.

Read through Over-The-Counter Acne Treatments: Pros and Cons extra

Are you annoyed and embarrassed by the pimples on your cheeks? Are you overly conscious of that red bump on your nose? Well, you may think you need professional treatment, but for most people the usual blemish and pimple can be treated at home through the use of over-the-counter (OTC) acne treatments. There's a wide variety of choices to consider, including cleansers, toners, astringents, moisturizers, lotions, pads and wipes, masks and strips. However, as you'll see later, there are some risks associated with these treatments.

The main active ingredients found in many of the OTC treatments include salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide and sulfur. They can be effective when used for mild and moderate acne problems. All three have both antibacterial and keratolytic effects. A keratolytic agent causes the outer layer of your skin to thin and shed away. This action opens up your pores and allows blocked material such as accumulated oil, dead skin cells and bacteria to be released.

Salicylic Acid: This compound was originally derived from willow bark, and has been used for centuries to alleviate pain and reduce fever. It is chemically similar to but not identical to acetylsalicylic acid, which is the active component of aspirin. In addition to its keratolytic effects, salicylic acid also acts as a bacteriocide by neutralizing bacteria inside the pores.

Benzoyl Peroxide: This organic compound works as both a keratolytic agent and as an oxidizer. Studies show that 70% of those who have used products with benzoyl peroxide experienced clearing of their acne within just six weeks.

Sulfur: Even before the modern era of scientific medicine, elemental sulfur was used in creams to help alleviate various conditions such as ringworm, scabies, eczema, psoriasis and acne. The way it actually works is not fully understood, but it is known that elemental sulfur slowly oxidizes into sulfurous acid, which has a mild antibacterial effect. Just like the other ingredients mentioned above, it also has a keratolytic effect.

What Are The Cons?

When used at a concentration of greater than 2 percent, salicylic acid may cause your skin to peel, become overly dry, and become irritated. It may also produce other undesirable effects such as salicylate toxicity, toxic inner ear damage and hypersensitivity. It can also produce photosensitization or the increased skin sensitivity to sunlight. Most of all, it increases the changes in skin structure and allows other chemicals to go deeper into the skin.

Sulfur may cause staining and has a very unpleasant smell and may cause dryness. It is not recommended as part of any product that a pregnant woman may use.

Benzoyl peroxide is a very harsh chemical which may irritate the skin and cause redness, dryness, scaling and blemishes. Those allergic to it suffer blistering, burning and swelling. Moreover, it may also cause the bleaching of hair or fabrics because of its oxidization properties.
